Carmen started as a photographer after immigrating to the U.S. at age 15. She built her portfolio as a popular Hispanic photographer for private events and made a name for herself quickly. After the success of her photography business, Carmen opened a Bridal Shop in 1986 serving the Southwest Houston area. As her skills and clientele expanded, she opened Carmen’s Banquet Hall in 1998. She now manages the Bridal Shop after son took over the business in 2012.
Her consistent passion for events shows in everything she does. You will often find her at a Quinceañera or wedding at Carmen’s Banquet Hall as she continues to be involved to this day. She lives in the greater Houston area and often can be found at her bridal shop. She is very proud of everything her son has accomplished in life.
Luis is the president and co-founder of Carmen’s Events. He graduated from Texas A&M International University in 2012 with a BBA and took over the family business shortly thereafter. Luis has been in industry since he was 8 years old taking pictures for his mom. Ever since, he has had a passion for creating the perfect events. In 2017, Luis opened his second hall with the intent of creating an all in one event solution for any budget.
With such an incredible passion for creating an unforgettable experience, Luis spends much of his time coming up with new ways to make event planning better. He lives in Meyerland with his wife and son. He has lived in Houston his entire life and loves the variety of culture and food. You can often catch him at a soccer match, usually playing the whole game.
